Microsoft Recognizes CSSI’s VUE Software Division as Insurance Value Chain Partner
VUE Software Joins Other Best-of-Breed Application Vendors to Support Microsoft’s Experience Insurance Initiative
Coconut Creek, Florida, 9/5/2006 — Computer Solutions and Software International, Inc. (CSSI), today announced that VUE Software®, its commissions and incentive compensation management solution division, has been selected as a partner in Microsoft’s Insurance Value Chain (IVC). VUE Software joins with key insurance services providers developing mission-critical solutions that align with the Microsoft’s experience Insurance initiative and provide seamless, end-to-end insurance business processing on the Microsoft platform.
Microsoft established IVC as a technology foundation for integrated partner applications for the insurance industry. This foundation is based on the Microsoft .NET Framework, XML Web services and industry standards such as the Agent-Company Organization for Research and Development (ACORD). Building directly upon IVC, Microsoft’s experience Insurance initiative offers a comprehensive approach to resolving pressures facing the insurance industry and focuses on improving the overall experience of customers, employees and operations.
“We are extremely pleased to be selected as a member of Microsoft’s Insurance Value Chain. Our product planning and development teams have built our solutions from the ground up to support industry standards and run on Microsoft technologies already in place at many insurance companies,” said Stephen Bruno, president and CEO of CSSI. “Companies can more easily integrate IVC Member solutions and be certain that we’re working closely with Microsoft to continue to drive down the time and cost of connecting the many disparate systems insurance companies utilize.”
Partner solutions address insurance companies’ challenges across every aspect of the insurance industry, including point-of-sale, policy issuance, service and administration, claims processing, reinsurance and agent support. VUE Software in particular addresses all these areas, helping IVC solve the problem of the paper-based, highly fragmented nature of insurance business processes that limit the industry’s ability to respond to business challenges.
Companies implementing VUE Software and other Microsoft IVC solutions realize a number of benefits:
Increased business agility through the alignment of business processes with technology, coupled with an increased value of existing information technology (IT) investments
Reduced IT cost and complexity due to pre-integration using a standards-based framework and Web services
Improved insurance experiences resulting from a connected technology infrastructure that leverages a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) within Microsoft .NET, creating a seamless link between customer and company for better service and cross-selling.
Founded in 1975, Microsoft (Nasdaq “MSFT”) is the worldwide leader in software, services and solutions that help people and businesses realize their full potential.
